About the event

Be5D

PSYCHEDELIC electrified blues for cruising on the dance floor on through to the astral  plane! Be5D is a collection of some of NJ’s finest jam band warriors wielding a repertoire  filled with timeless originals and the Grateful Dead.

Newly formed, Be5D’s performances are catching attention and turning heads along the  Jersey Shore and into Philly. The lineup for this exciting band can vary with economic  and capacity considerations. As this excitement builds, Be5D is expanding their reach  along the eastern seaboard with eyes across the USA.

A journey to the fifth dimension requires raising one’s vibration level. Low vibrations trend  towards negativity and suffering. High vibrations are trending towards love and light.  Be5D’s mission is to bring people together in a space to experience higher vibrations  through musical exploration. The desire is to expand into a collective group consciousness  that helps raise all of us to a higher level of vibration.

LEAD GUITAR Mark Diomede:

In the 1980’s, before the phrase “jam band” became common, groups like Wide Spread Panic, Phish, and  Solar Circus were burning up the roadways of America with their psychedelic inspired electrified blues.  Founding Solar Circus member Mark Diomede has been on the road performing steadily since 1989, first  with Relix Recording Artists “Solar Circus” and then with Solar spin off, “The Juggling Suns”. In 2003 Mr.  Diomede received the Asbury Music Awards Lifetime Achievement Award for his contributions on the East  Coast live music scene. Over his career Mark has shared the stage with Bruce Springsteen, Keller Williams,  Buddy Cage (New Riders of the Purple Sage), Jimmy Herring (Widespread Panic), Tom Constanten (Grateful  Dead), Tim Carbone (Railroad Earth), Martin Fierro (Legion of Mary), and Jon Gutwillig (The Disco Biscuits)  among others. Mark’s catalog of original songs is well documented in over a dozen album releases and in  hundreds of Solar Circus and Juggling Suns performances posted on Archive.org. Mr. Diomede continues to  thrill and inspire his loyal fan base performing with the Juggling Suns as well as the regional Jam Bands,  Cosmic Charlie, Love Light, Alligator, and a standing Tuesday night performance at The Olde Village Pub in  Middletown, NJ.

BASS GUITAR Bruce Wigdor:

New Jersey native Bruce Wigdor started his musical journey with piano lessons at the age of 8. He picked up  the guitar at the age of 10 and has yet to set it down. In Jr. High Bruce started with the bass and this multi faceted musician was off to the races. Bruce’s influences include the Beatles and bands from the Progressive  Rock genre. While attending his first Grateful Dead concert the epiphany was a strong desire to play music  that was open and flowing, improvisational and dynamic. Bruce began playing coffee houses and bars in and  around New Brunswick, NJ. It was during this time that he met up with Solar Circus and was quickly  assimilated as Solar’s man on the keyboards from 1988 until 1991. Always enthusiastic to play Bruce formed the progressive rock band Influx to keep his jamming spirit moving. Bruce was reunited with his band mate  Mark Diomede some years later and became THE monster bass player for the successful touring group the  Juggling Suns. Mark and Bruce continue their musical coalition both with Be5D and the Juggling Suns  Project.

RHYTHM GUITAR Gianni Iacovino

Jersey native Gianni Iacovino took piano lessons at the age of five and then drifted into the guitar as a  teenager. A fan of the Grateful Dead, during his college years he could often be found in the crowd at local

Solar Circus shows. Mr. Iacovino started playing out with various jam bands to include projects with members  of Splintered Sunlight and Steal Your Face. Gianni became a member of the Juggling Suns in 2021. His rhythmic  stylings and improvisational abilities fit the band like a long-lost glove and the Jugg fans quickly dubbed him  the Italian Bobby. When not with the Suns, Gianni can be seen on stage with his band Begger’s Pay and  Firebolt.

Keyboards: Gabe Lipko (Begger’s Pay)

Drummer: Jerry Horan

Jerry brings over 30 years of experience playing Grateful Dead music. He is the former drummer from Splintered Sunlight.
