James Daniels Band

Torn between being steeped in tradition and blazing the trail towards the future, Daniels & John Tyler are forging a path for the future of Blues and Americana. The dynamic songwriters are backed by an ever-changing rotation of local and regional talent.

Daniels and Tyler are founding members of the Philadelphia based indie-rock band Chestnut Grove. The two childhood friends began playing music together at James’ 13th birthday party at his parent’s barn in Perkiomenville, PA in 2006(where they still rehearse today). James was impressed, inspired and driven by John’s musical talent and was lucky enough to have his dad’s drum set at the barn. The duo began writing and learning songs immediately.

Now with twenty years together, ten plus years of touring the East-Coast and Midwest, the two dynamic players and songwriters continue to expand their musical pallets.
