Rift - A Phish Tribute with Joe Kenney Band

Rift formed in the summer of 2023 amongst four friends that love playing the vast Phish catalog.

Matt Agostini (bass) and Matt Elberson (drums) have played in previous Phish tributes while Sean Coyne (guitar) and John Hildenbrand (keys) have always wanted to. We’re pumped to be a part of the incredible Philadelphia Phish community.

We’ve built chemistry playing together in Control for Smilers, Uncle Jawn’s Band, The 9’s Funk Band, Keezus, and Four Lean Hounds. Together we have seen over 300 Phish shows, eaten our fair share of shakedown grilled cheeses, and can’t wait to share our renditions of Phish songs with you.

Joe Kenney Band

The connective thread through Joe Kenney Band’s eclectic range of original music stylings and cover arrangements is the distinct artistry, energy, and passion they bring to their live performances. An award-winning jam band, jazz fusion, and Neo-soul infused collective based in Phoenixville, PA. The group released “Forth” in 2020, an original album that was aired on over 85 radio stations nationwide and won a bronze medal in the Global Music Awards. They also have a new live album that just released in November 2025, and are touring in 2026 on the east coast in support of a new original album that is currently being recorded.
